I completely get your points, and although we appreciate your feedback, some things aren't as straightforward as you think. It’s just…. when you pay for HiFi, you actually get HiFi. Their library is as good as Deezer’s as far as I can tell. We’re not big enough of a user base for them to take notice.īut there are other options in the market. I think sincere, but sadly Deezer as a company doesn’t seem to care much about that stuff. Just wanted to check here to see how things are progressing, but I see nothing is really happening apart from the same promises as from year ago, which is just another confirmation that switching to Tidal was indeed the best course of action I could possibly take. I stuck with Deezer HiFi for a long time whilst not getting HiFi, with constant grain of hope that this would get sorted out, but ultimately also switched to Tidal. Even if after that 4 months it costs a lot more (19.99) than Deezer hifi it may keep me as a client. As a consequnce, I turned to Tidal that offered hifi and master quality as a promo 4 months for 1 euro (yeah, other countries have it for 4 euro. Well, like the others, I would not sell my fairly expensive 10 Heos speakers to get other equipment that is compatible with Deezer HiFi flac as long as I have alternatives. I really do hope you and Denon succeed in getting it sorted out. I do like the Deezer interface so far and Deezer also works nicely together/within the HEOS app, so not all bad things from my side. In Deezer’s defense: One of the Denon dealers where I inquired before buying it (later at a different one) said that the AVR-X3600 would in fact support the lossless stream, which appears to be incorrect in hind sight. But a more specific list of supported devices would have helped and maybe I had decided to buy a Network streamer instead of replacing my existing Denon receiver with another one that was supposed to be able to play Deezer HiFi lossless.

I was really disappointed, and surely understand that the effort also has to come from the people at Denon. I hope to have more exciting news at the beginning of 2021, so please stay tuned It's a two-way project, but HEOS is getting all the support from us on the integration. I can assure you, we're now working to get this sorted. I've been discussing the integration with our developers who have been in touch with HEOS to get this off the ground. I've been here with our community users and this is a subject I take a lot of ownership of.

Anyway, if you want to go wireless, you can also use Bluetooth headphones with aptX/aptX HD or Sony LDAC, which offer 24-bit 48KHz audio.Īmazon Music HD is now available in the US, the UK, Germany and Japan. Also, Apple AirPlay supports HD audio, Google’s Cast protocol gets nothing (we thought Amazon and Google buried the hatchet?).

The Amazon app on iOS supports external DACs, the Android one does not. Current users should note that they need to re-download songs to get the lossless files.

The good news is that you can download HD and Ultra HD songs for offline listening (so you can use your Wi-Fi). A large data allowance is a must too – a 3 and a half minute song eats up 51MB in HD quality and 153MB in Ultra HD. If you want to stream music, you’ll need at least a 1.5-2Mbps LTE connection for HD quality and 5-10Mbps for Ultra HD. There are also over 50 million HD quality songs, that’s losslessly compressed 16-bit 44.1KHz audio. The service offers millions of songs with lossless encoding in the so-called Ultra HD quality – 24-bit with a sampling rate of 192KHz. For an individual plan this means you’re looking at $13 a month if you are a Prime member and $15/month otherwise. Amazon Music HD is $5 more than the current plans (both individual and family). Amazon is launching a lossless music streaming service to take on Tidal.
